A site plan is a set of drawings in which items such building, parking, drives and other structures are graphically labelled by which improvements are in made in given plot for construction. Site plans help engineers and architect for suitable design of the proposed project.
Advantages of a site plan:
1. Marks the property of of the plot.
2. helps in analysis of site so that proper design and execution of any project can happen.
3. Helps in outlining the other existing buildings and other structure present.
4. Surrounding environment whether proposed project is suitable for given area or no, for hydrologic condition, drainage etc.
5. Helps in finding the utilities available for the proposed project.
6. To find the topography of the proposed area for the project.
Disadvantages of not having site plan:
1. During execution phase of project, site Engineer executes project with the help of provided plans. It is impossible to execute without plans.
2. Without plan, project completion duration would not be achieved on time.
3. Architectural plan in needed for different of the structure.
4. Structure plan is also needed to structural stability of structure.
5. Project management plan is also required for economical construction.
6. Details and number of workforce is provided according to the plan.
