B. What is meant by a statement of accountability as related to the IEP?
Individualised Education Program (IEP) or sometimes known as Individual Education Plan is a unique and special kind of program that was developed under United States law, in the year 1975 to cater students with disability, to have an equal and fair opportunity in getting the same level of education as a common student without disability.
A(i) Long-Term IEP goals or largely known as Annual IEP Goals refers to the organising principles and plans to determine the long-term practicality and functionality of the essential IEP goals in order to give a rising edge to the disabled students from the inception they start with learning.
A(ii) Short-term Objectives in IEP refers to the dedicated approaches taken in a short time-horizon, in order to fulfil the essential requirements. It can also measure the behaviour pattern and skills that has been acquired by the disabled students within a month or two.
B Statement of Accountability in IEP refers to the comprehensive evaluation and the assigned review process of the child’s educational growth, in order to verify whether the goals of the IEP are met or not. It also assesses the undertaken responsibility and the relevant focus to apprehend the child’s inner potential that has been developed so far.
