Ethical issues in any business are very common terms being used in this competitive era. Every business firm wants to lead, in this race, but it commits a mistake that can have some kind of ethical concern. Anything which has a connection of moral values, decision of doing the correct thing, choosing between right or wrong on the social concern. There is a challenge of determining ethical issues or dilemmas in the organization. Although there are some measures to identify these ethics. There are few challenges in the business which are discussed below:

  1. Bribery- The benefits in terms of monetary or non-monetary as a special concern for some favors in business is bribery. This is unethical because people become habitual for taking bribery and then working otherwise they do not show interest. In China, they do not mind taking gifts or bribery because its a matter of pride and honor to be in that position but it is termed as graft
  2. Conflicts of interest or loyalty- The employer and employees have a mutual trust, but sometimes few employees make the individual benefit more rather than thinking about organization benefit. For example- A employer who has some good position in a department hires his relative as favoritism or passes some confidential information.
  3. Harassment- There are many cases of harassment by the employer to employees like personal, physical harassment or mental pressure. The employees face bullying, abusing and insults by the superiors. For example- A lady being sexually abused by her boss.
  4. Toxic workplace culture- An healthy environment is like a booster for the employees. it reduces stress and motivates them for good and effective outcomes. But if the conditions are opposite like fighting, conspiracy, abusing and unhappy employees it increases absenteeism, competitiveness among the colleagues, no teamwork, and whole activities get affected.
  5. Discrimination- Many countries are facing this unethical issue. People are treated according to their color and caste. For example- In India, they have division based on the caste and lower caste people are not allowed to get higher positions in the department. Although to overcome this, many efforts are being made by the government and social concerning people.
  6. Accounting- Many companies are involved in making fraud in the account details to reduce taxes, to hide from stakeholders, for their own benefits. Some hide their loss to retain investors but all this unethical, business deal should be fair and transparent, for long term benefits. Many examples are being seen as a whistleblower for this case.
  7. Health and safety issues- Many companies who are indulged in some extra cautions work are seen compromising health and safety issues fo their employees, rather they provide all the special concern tools and requirements to safeguard their life and health. For example- Employees working under construction sites should be given proper helmets, gloves, uniforms, masks, earmuffs, and glasses for protecting eyes. Few companies do all the things just as a formality to protect them from the authority and compromise with the quality.
