The population growth is based on birthrate, death rate, the influx of immigration, and emigration. The population rate is different in different countries. The developed countries have witnessed a decline in birth rates as well as death rates. The Asian countries and undeveloped or underdeveloped countries are experiencing a population explosion. The birth rates are higher in these countries due to a lack of education and the need for more hands to earn.
The effect of the increased population has an adverse effect on the growth of the country, it requires more food, and more water from small land and fewer water resources. Deforestation affects the ecological system and weather change takes place. Due to the greenhouse effect, the world would observe an increase in climatic temperature.
In developed countries where the death rate has decreased due to modern medical growth and in countries like China where the number of children is restricted, the population is kept under control but after a gap of few years there will be a shortage of young hands to work and population will more of elderly people who will require medical help and other facilities. The burden will be on the working class. It will be balanced by imposing taxes.
The world population as per the report is 7.8 billion. China and India are leading the chart. Due to lack of education, poor government policies, and incapable leaders the families want to have more hands to meet the two ends meet. This is the biggest problem with less developed countries where the resources are less and the population is increasing.
With more population less job the social structure inclined to anti-social activities increasing the crime rates and unrest among the people. The prices increases and the economy become capitalist. The power comes in one hand and there is an unequal distribution of wealth it causes a disproportionately negative impact on the environment and society.
The incline in population slows down the progress of the country decreasing economical growth, improper use of resources, decreasing cultivation land available, deforestation thus as per sociological perspective incline in population has a direct adverse effect on environmental, economic, and social growth of the country.
