Expert Solution

Answer 1]

The age of a used car and it’s price :It would be a moderate negative correlation, because as the age of certain car increases then also the efficiency of car get down(decreases) most of the times. so,all other parts may not be functioning well as it befores. So , there will be a moderate negative correlation between the age of a used car and it’s price.

Answer 2]

The weight of a new car and it’s overall miles per gallon rating: The vehicle weight is most important in a manner how much of fuel it consumes. As the vehicle is more heavy, the more energy requires for the moving and also more fuel is required. So, as the weight increases, its time increases and also fuel required for overall mpg rating will also increases. So there is strong positive correlation between the weight of a new car and it’s overall miles per gallon rating.

Answer 3]

The height of a person and the height of the persons father: In most of the cases, it can be seen that, tall fathers have a tall sons and also short fathers have a short heighted sons. But it also can be seen the opposite results that tall heighted fathers also have a short sons and vice versa. so, it will be a weak positive correlation.

Answer 4] The height and IQ of a person: There is no such a correlation between the height and IQ of a person because short heighted persons also have high IQ while tall heighted persons also have high IQ.
