•A claim is a statement of truth and evidence is the support that the claim needs to be validated by a reader.
Supported claims have evidence to validate them.
• A statement essentially arguable, but used as a primary point to support or prove an argument is called a claim. If somebody gives an arguement to support his position, it is called "making a claim". Different reasons are usually presented to prove why a certain point should be acceptable as logical.
A supporting claim is any arguement that, if accepted will make it easier to prove the primary claim. Sometimes, this invloves making a distinct arguement that only helps to prepare an audience. More often it involves establishing a piece of fact(also see evidence) or advocating for a judgement of value.
• An author will use a claim to back up support.
An author will use support to back a claim.
• An author will remove a claim if the support is strong.
An author will remove the support if the claim is strong.
