Loading occurs at two different stages state and explain each. 2 Explain the principles of scheduling
Scheduling
Scheduling can be defined as the activity which prescribing of when and where each operation necessary to manufacture the product is to be performed.
Types of scheduling
1. First come, first served scheduling (FCFS)
2. Shortest job first scheduling (SJF)
3. Shortest remaining time (SRT)
4. Non-preemptive priority scheduling
5. Preemptive priority scheduling
6. Round-Robin scheduling
Principles of Scheduling
1. Optimum task size: the main aim of scheduling is to achieve maximum efficiency in their jobs. We should also achieve maximum efficiency when the task size is small and all tasks same order of magnitude.
2. Optimum production plan: planning deciding in advance what should be done in future. And it gives equal load on all plants
3. Optimum sequence: scheduling is also meant to assigning the duty and time for a particular job. At the time of planning, it should give maximum efficiency and the work hours are normally used in the same sequence.
