When the lesson on Infectious Disease was presented, I described how things changed after the AIDS epidemic, like the use of gloves, masks, testing of blood, etc.
Do you think things will change after this pandemic is behind us? Will we go back to shaking hands, etc.?
What do you think should or will change?
Infections diseases transmitted from person to person mainly through direct contact, droplets, airborne, blood or blood products and so on.
While a disease become pandemic people are becoming more aware about the condition, it's transmition, prevention etc. They are using various personal protective equipments such as glove, mask, google, apron and so on. People avoiding close contact with others especially affected one in order to prevent the transmission of diseases.
People becoming more specific about hand washing and social distancing during a pandemic.
This is mainly because of the awareness campaign, mass media influence, and continuous monitoring.
In my point of view after a pandemic, people will go back to their normal behaviour to certain extent.. They will shake the hands to each other.
People should change their attitude and should always think that prevention is better tthan cure
People should be aware about the infectioinfectious diseases and the proper knowledge regarding personal protection.
Periodic education regarding the same should be given to the public through direct education and media is always necessary unless there is a pandemic.
Screening in community level should practice at a specific interval.
