a. Lean operations system basically includes the running of an organisation by having a high focus on providing high level of customer satisfaction by using optimum and few resources available. It is highly concerned with the efficiency of the organisation.

Lean intended to accomplish less wastage in organisation and creating high value of customers.

b. Some of the benefits of a lean systems are as follows -

• Focus on increasing profits

• Less production time due to elimination of wastages and non needed processes
