Technology is contemporay in our routine of life.Students of the 21st century use the mobile phone for educational purposes.They record educational materials in smartphones for future use and do not prefer paper works.Students use smartphones for taking pictures ,recording videos and for using social media. Students use mobiles for formal and informal learning.Schools have been using mobiles for videoconferencing,imparting online courses etc. The use of mobile phone is very popular in language learning and mobile phones help teachers use variety of teaching techniques according to the needs and interest of the students.Schools can use mobile phones for performance because use of mobiles have a novelty factor other than the traditional learning environment and students are motivated to do so.To promote innovation in education , mobile phones not only supported traditional lecture style teaching but also promoted innovative teaching methods like cooperative teaching,exploratory teaching outside classroom ,and game based learning.Thus mobile phones promote diverse teaching styles and academic performance.
