See page 406 of your chapter for a detailed description of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.

  • 1)People who are high achievers in life do require self actualization needs and transcendence needs, since they have reached their peak in their professional lives and using their complete potential to build a business empire. They work for finding creativity in their work and they work for posterity.Moving beyond their potential, trying to better their talent, find new opportunities to be creative and cosntruct something valuable like a piece of art or a book, which people can remember them by.
  • Now,at this stage when they have everything in term of money and success, they feel like giving it back to the society through social work and working towards the welfare of people. That is why highe achievers like businessmen, celebrities etc. engage in a lot of social welfare programs and work with charities,to raise awareness about various social issues.

  • Working adults value security needs a lot, since at this stage, earning money becomes extremely important to financially support ones family.Personal security and family security becomes a priority, working towards building a house, having a comfortable life, health insurance etc. all are important.
  • Physiological needs are definitely important to all of us,including the poor people, possibly more for them than any other need.We all want food, shelter, water etc. to live a life and we all work towards it all our lives.
