Project charter refers to a statement or corporation related to the project, under which all the specifications related to the project are mentioned- what are the visions and objectives of the project and what would be its time duration and participants.

Value of using the SMART approach when creating the goals and objectives of the project:

1. Feasibility: the objectives and goals that are formulated after properly assessing the SMART approach would be feasible because this approach includes a lot of calculations regarding what objective should we set.

2. Effectiveness: SMART approach assess the required time of the project also, the time duration would be fixed according to that, and will bring timeliness and effectiveness in the project.

3. Objective orientation: SMART approach helps us to remain objective oriented and always focused on the achievement of their objective with proper control, monitoring and assessment of progress.

Value of aligning the project with the vision of the organization:

1. Maintenance of work culture: vision describes the organizational culture and works culture, and it is necessary to adopt the same work culture in the project also in order to achieve the objective of the project with peace and harmony and proper synchronization. Thus, there is a need to align our project with the vision of the organization.

2. Clarity: By aligning the project with the vision of the organization, we get clarity regarding the objective of the organization and we can formulate the plans and objectives for the project which would help the organization or benefit the organization in the long run.

Eg: If our vision is:

To create growth opportunities of the local market, to go environment friendly, to capture a larger share in the global market.

It would help us in determining the objective of the project, as we would try to include these attributes from the vision in our project also.
