Walmart believes in the power of human resource, globalization, valuing the cultural diversity, rapidity of change, advanced technology along with innovation.
It also emphasizes on customer service, respecting each individual , excellence in entire organisation and focuses on honesty and fairness.
Walmart follows Maslow need hierarchy theory for his employees motivation.
Walmart follows need base training to its workers which is based on result and process orientation.
The performance planning is focused on customer service, decision making and problem solving analysis.
It believes to offers competitive salary to the employees, provides indirect incentives for performance, makes the employee as a member of the organisation and make him feel empowered but however fails to do in the real situation .
There is tardiness and absenteeism of employees which is leding to loss in the productivity.
There are errors in reporting and recording.
Walmart's business model has been falling recently and this is due to its large stores, which are especially for rural areas and are not successful in cities.
It is also not suitable overseas where there are regulations regarding the size of the store. Its competitor Amazon which is an online store also challenges it on the level of price.
The poor quality of customer service and lack of employee training is also the challenges faced by Walmart's management.
The biggest reason for failiure of management is the lack of connectivity with the customer. Also it has been unable to adapt to the modern management.
