PLC is a concepts for analyzing the different stages in the life of a product. this concept observes and compares the life of a product with the life of living beings.

1. Introduction

  • This stage is the commercialisation or launchinging satage of a new product.
  • This stage is characterized by intense marketing efforts of the firm to promote the newly introduced product in the market.  

2. Growth

  • This is the beginning of the growth stage of a  product .
  • As a result, sales of the product gradually increasing and competition also developed.
  • products become more profitable during this stage.

3. Maturity

  • At this stage, the sales reach its maximum point and maintaing a steady stage.
  • There is no way to grow further.
  • The product has penetrated the market fully

4. Decline

  • This is the stage of characterized by continuous decline in sales volume.
  • Economic and production conditions become unfavorable.
