(a) The two major drawbacks of Al 2024 alloy is that it shows less corrosion resistance and poor weldabiity.Athough it shows high strength and fatigue resistance.Because it shows less corrosion resistance,it is often cladded with aluminium for industrial and practical use.However the strategy which i could think of to form strongest Al 2024 is that if we could some how make it more corrosion resistant .This can be done by adding little zinc to its composition which will be likewise brass composition and the whole mixture will be more corrosion resistant,but how it will affect its properties that will be a matter of research.The zinc should be added in a very less amount since it has tendency to oxidise.

(b) Precipitation hardening is a heat treatment technique that takes place at low temperatures and makes use of alloying materials, such as aluminum and titanium. Hence it improves /increases the yield strength of materials as well as its corrosion resistance.

The same technique we can apply for case (a) as well.
