How has the need for space changed over time? Incorporate such features as the categories of personal space, as well as issues tied to territoriality. How have these changes impacted how individuals communicate with one another?
As humans grow the need for space also grow. When we take birth we don’t need any space for ourself, but as we become mature we try to find space for our personal life. When we start going to college we need space as we are turning into an adult. And when we marry we need personal space, as we got a partner now.
Many people around the world don’t have proper house to live, and they live in a single room. Almost 5 to 6 people stay in a single room. Although, they need personal space for themselves as they are bound to stay in that single room as they can not afford a proper house. And this has an effect on them, talking about communication, it seems to be more among these people as they all are staying together. But if we have separate rooms for ourselves then our communication gets affected.
We don’t interact with our family members when we have more space in our house, everyone is busy with their own stuff and also busy with their own life. If a person doesn’t get his personal space, this affects him mentally.
Rich people who have big houses and in that house only 2 to 3 members live, they don’t seems to interact with each other very often as the communication between them gets limited as they all are busy in their life’s.
