During Covid-19 crises, what do you suggest to managers to make more ethical decisions?
This time of covid-19 is a very serious situation all around the world. Mostly all businesses have lost their pace and jobs because ot this epidemic. Thus, the ethical actions I would like to suggest to the managers are:
1. Regular Communication: The first action would be having a regular communication with your team members. Many people have lost their hope and faith and thus are greatly affecting the production level of the organisations. Thus, you have to be effective and motivating in your communication making your team understand about the challenges and give them the spirit to fight with it and win anyhow.
2. Adjust with the environment: Another ethical action should be adjusting with the environment. Try understanding the situations and make the changes accordingly. Shift your work to Work from home, send the systems to employees' home, make group video calls and meeting and thus make your organisation and work adapt to this situation where everyone could remain safe and work should also be done anyhow.
3. Empathy and Team Work: At last, remember we all are in this together. Don't let anyone go. You being the manager thinking of removing people to save cost should consider the fact that where and how they would get the money to help their families. The situation is hard but understanding the meaning of togetherness and team work is essential element at this time.
