Common cause of fainting are the following

1) Dehydration : Dehydration occurs when the body has not enough water to work poperly. While mild dehydration may lead to discomfort, more severe dehydration can lead to fainting.

2) Severe Pain : experiencing sudden pain, increases heart rate and the blood pressure rapidly decreases, which affects the amount of blood flowing to the brain. This stress on the body, primarily the sudden loss of blood, can result in fainting.

3) Hypoglycemia : It is a condition when the body is low on sugar, it is common in people with diabbetes. When the blood sugar is very low (<50mg/dL) the may faint.

4) Hypertension or low blood pressure (the pressure blood vessel exert on the walls) can also make a person feel dizzy or tired.

5) Heart Attack : Fainitng is common in heart attacks as in a heart attack, blood supply that normally nourishes the heart with oxygen is cut off and the heart muscle begins to die.
