Our human senses respond to different types of energy. Give examples of at least three senses, say what type of energy they respond to, and use them to explain this statement.
Human sensory perception requires energy to work efficiently in transmitting the sensations to the brain using neurotransmitters. To understand this we can take examples of 3 different sensors and how they might use Maggi in different manners.
Visual perception or eyes - eyes are responsible for intercepting photons that are available in the light particles and with the different wavelengths of light in order to give us a good perception of visual cues.
Hearing perception- ears are responsible for interpreting the vibrations that are received by our eardrums by converting the energy produced by the wavelength off the vibration to mechanically move the eardrum.
Taste perception- our tongue helps us in recognising different types of tastes that are formed by the chemical breakdown of food which releases energy and it helps in the identification of different tastes.
