Assess the Three Ways of Hinduism in terms of their ability to provide a sense of meaning, community, and ultimately salvation. Are these ways capable of providing a helpful means toward achieving these goals?
HInduism is one of the oldest religious philosophy in the word . It touches several aslpects of life . Hinduism provides sense of meaning while advocating the sense of life in its core philosophy for living. According to hidusim purpose of life can be found in " Dharma , Artha , Kaam and Moksha. These basic tenets of Hinduism provide answer to meaning of life , it relation to community and ultimate salvation . Lets examine these as a philosophy one by one :-
1. Dharma Dharma Means to act on the basic rules of righteous ness . What is right is universally correct and one should follow the laid out rules for being a good human being . Dharma belives that you are in this world to fulfill your duties towards family society and nature . You should follow these virtuously . Dharma beilieves that you are born in debt with God , debt to parents and teachers , debt to guests , debt to other human beings and debt to all living beings . Life should be spent in gratitude to all these people and in their service.
2.Artha : to pwrk towards prosperity and accumulate wealth . However this should be done while following the principles of dharma .
3.Kaama: is to create facilities for having a family , procreate and enjoy blessings of almighty , while having fun . This hould also be done with in the boudaries of dharma.
4.The foruth is Moksha , i.e seeking enlightenment and salvation . one should try to seek moksha in one life otherwise you have to wait for another birth in human form to seek moksha .
A life spent with Dharma takes one closer to moksha . HIndu philosophy is a holistic way of connecting with world and leading a purposeful life .
