What are the three type of constraints that projects face; provide examples and suggest ways to address these constraints.
The three common constraints that projects face are:
Schedule
Cost
Scope
A product was supposed to have 10 new features and the changes were to be made in a time period of 20 days. The budget of the project was 2000 USD. The product has only 3 new features and the team has already worked for 13 days and the budget has already crossed 1700 USD.
The best way to avoid or manage these constraints are:
Plan the schedule in such a way that the project gets completed in 17 days instead of 20 days. Keep two days as a buffer time to make sure that the project gets completed on time.
Streamline the project execution process and avoid the unnecessary steps and resources to keep the cost under control.
Create a project plan with the required goals and deliverables and this should be communicated to all the project members to keep them aware of the project scope. This will avoid any deviation to the project delivery.
