Urine testing using a dip-stick is an important part of your job ( as a medical office assistant or a nurse); why, and what does the doctor learn from this type of testing? Answer all the questions.
2) Imagine that you are instructing a patient to take a urine sample. What instructions you would give them?
3) When you take a sample from the patient (in a urine bottle) and are going to do a dip-stick test before sending the urine to the laboratory for culture and sensitivity, why do you split up the urine into another bottle? What is the reasoning behind this step in your testing?
4) What can the doctor learn in a short period of time and what can she/he do once he has the results?
1-Dip stick test is an important test in urine analysis in which a chemical treated stick is placed in the urine collector of patients it is important because it shows the presence of WBC protein and glucose in urine of patient
It is necessary because it is an basic test which is conducted before sending the urine for analysis.
And by that doctor learn about the concentration of urine ph and presence of wbc glucose and protein.
2-as an instructor we instruct the patient to collect the urine at best time and protect it from contamination and in a appropriate volume.
3- the reason behind change the container is that there must have chances of contaminants on the previous contains which is occur at the time of collectionst that can affect the test thats that container are change.
4-at the short period of time doctor learn about the conditions of patient urine by dip stick test and provide them an local or primary treatment untill report are not come and doctor have knowledge about the infection of the urine so he/she provide primary tratment to patients..
Hope you will understand the answer.
Thank-you
