Please give me a complete thesis on chloride treatment of CdTe thin film solar cell
Cell deposition and processing
• Generally we coat solar cells in superstate FTO glass plate. ZnO buffer layers around 100 nm to be deposited on substrate by sputtering process. Temperature can be room temperature. Then this process should be followed by CdS deposition around 250 degree Celsius. . Space sublimation can be used to deposit CdTe layer. Temperatue of Source and substrate need to maintained around 600 °C, Entire process can be done in a controlled atmosphere of nitrogen at a pressure of 20 torr. All sample are required to be etched before chloride treatment to both clean the surface. For Back contacting, gold contacts may be deposited by thermal evaporation.
Preparation as literature Reports
• Generally CdCl2 treatment will be adopted for thin film CdTe solar cells. CdCl2 supersaturated solution in water or methanol can be spread in CdTe surface. Then heat treat this around 500 degree Celsius in air atmosphere for 2 hours. White CdCl2 powder will be clearly visible on CdTe dark surface.
