Discuss briefly what is a testable hypothesis.
A hypothesis can be investigated and thus either be supported or falsified from the obtained data is a testable hypothesis. For the investigation, an experiment is set up using the scientific method. The experiment is set up in such a way that a counter is possible, that is, it must be falsifiable. And, experimental design should allow proper data collection.
These requirements are met by:
1) having null and alternative hypotheses and 2) describing the relation between two variables, one of which is controlled. The variables must be measurable, then only the hypothesis can be tested. A testable hypothesis describes the relation between two measurable variables.
A testable hypothesis is a hypothesis that can be investigated and thus either is supported or falsified from the obtained data.
