All organizations have their pre-determined goals and they strive to achieve them. But, sometimes the organizations have to face the challenges posed before it because of the goals divergence which usually comes into the picture because of the conflict of interest of its different stakeholders. The other main sources divergent goals in organizations can be explained as follows-

· The first source of divergent goals in organizations is task conflict among its employees. Task conflict may happen among them because of the differences in their vision, mission, and approaches. However, it can be effectively converted into a friendly competition among the employees so that everybody can give his best to the organization.

· The second source of divergent goals in organizations is role conflict among the managers. At times, more than one manager tries to manage the same set of employees due to role conflict which leads to the issue of divergent goals in the organization. Hence, the responsibility of a=each and every manager should be clearly laid out.

· The third source of divergent goals in organizations is process conflict. It usually occurs when two teams have to work on a project and they have to try to achieve the organizational goal with different processes. This usually leads to divergent goals issues in the organization.

· The fourth source of divergent goals in organizations arises when the employees struggle to accommodate the long term and short term goals of the organization.

Hence, these are some of the sources of the divergent goals in the organizations.
