To produce and distribute a particular product to the end users or final buyer ,Supply chain act as a network between the organization and it's suppliers.

Supply chain -

To produce and distribute a particular product to the end-users or final users, the Supply chain acts as a network between the organization and its suppliers.

Supply chain basically includes-

- producers

- Vendors

- distribution

- Retailers

-Transportation companies

Logistics means the process of managing the resources or products and services which are acquired also their storage and transportation to the final destination.

HOW SUPPLY CHAIN AND LOGISTICS ARE RELATED

Supply chain and logistics are related because they both are considered with the supply of products or services to the end-users or we can say that they both deals with the movement of materials in any business.

Logistics is part of the supply chain or we can say that it is an activity with the supply chain.

Example- the movement of materials from the producers to processor centers to distribution centers to the doorsteps is called the supply chain.

And the movement of materials from one point to another is called logistics.

How they are yet different?

*Logistics* -

- Logistics is just one component of the supply chain.

- Logistics focuses on transporting goods.

-It is the connection between one node to another.

- It is concerned with meeting customer requirements

- the supply chain is a broader part and focuses on operations and procurement in order to make the company run smoothly.

- supply chain focuses on finished products.

- It is a series of nodes.

- It is concerned about competitive advantage.
