Solutions

Expert Solution

The concerns regarding involvement of psychologists or psychiatrists being involved in military interrogations have been rising. The concerns came up, that involvement of psychologists in such interrogations are more likely to harm the patients rather than help them.

The areas of ethics which were into question with psychologist's involvement in interrogation are

1) Do no harm

2) Avoiding conflicts of interests

3) avoiding dual roles

It was being said that as the interrogations got longer, there was a chance that torture on patients would occur. Since psychologists are just interrogating, they should not decide if the questions are are ethical. This is dual roles.
