Until there is a meaningful health care reform ,health care costs will continue to increase.Areorganization of helth-care delivery is essential .This can be achieved by promoting new activities which is a foundation to establish relationship between patients and providers.Alternative financing mechanism have emerged to control costs.The methods under managed care include initiatives for patients to use lower cost,discounted fee,preferred providers and capitation of providers for providing care for a defined group of patients.These have lead to blunting of the annual rate of increase in national health expenditures.But two trends in health sectors will likely to intensify in the future.The trends are technological advances which will bring expensive product to markets and increase in medical care utilization and costs with progressive ageing of the population.Systematic,organized approaches to care will improve the quality while reducing costs.
