Nursing ethics are sets of rules and regulations or framework that each nurses must follow while providing care to the patient.
Ethic impacts the role nurses play in their patient's lives 1.when their is staffing situation and the nurse is not competent enought to take care of the patient or places patient at risk because of the number of patients assigned to you. As an in experience nurses you will not be able to provide quality care to the patients and is unethical to accept such assignments.
2. Helping in decision making between the quantity and quality of care nursing finds it very difficult with the ethical dilemmas of supporting a patient deciding beween prolonging the life but compromise the quality of life of the patient.
Ethical concern nurses must pay attention while advocating for vulnarable population
1.Empirical knowledge versus personal belief: when a patient needs to undergo and operation to remove an organ to safe his life but due to his religious belief the patient an the family are not willing to agree to the treatment regiment nurses must support the decision of the family and the patient decision even at the cost of the patient life.
2.Freedom versus control: If a patient does not want to take the medication the nurse cannot force the patient because the patient has the freedom to take the decision even though the nurse knowns that it will harm the patient. Nurses struggle with allowing patients have the right to make choices for themselves even if they may result in harm.
3.Telling the truth verus deception: When a senior practitioner is neglecting the patient care and causing harm to the patient the nurse might be hesitant to tell the truth to the patients family and report the incident
