Is the paleo diet safe? (talk about what the paleo diet is, talk about its history and philosophies, pros/cons, summary, conclusion and how to get started with it if people are interested?
Paleo diet in simple terms diet of stone age.
According to me paleo is safe because it recommends to eat natural foods , meat ,fish and avoid canned , processed foods .
Paleo diet aids in decreasing BMI , cancer, heart problems,and various health complications
Meat, eggs, fish, chicken, fruits. nuts, seeds, and healthy fats & oils are encouraged to consume , As these are consumed by our ancestors. Avoiding processed foods, soft drinks , dairy products, vegetable oils, artificial sweetners and transfats help us to relieve from risk of most of metabolic disorders, obesity , cardiac problems and more.
Consumption of fruits and vegetables leads to more fiber in food which is really good for our gut and most vitamins are gained. Meat , chicken and eggs satisfy our protein and fat needs and also 20 essential aminoacids are gained.Sea foods are rich in omega 3 fatty acids which are good for heart.
In 1890's idea of primitive diet idea started and there were more books on paleo diet from that time to till date.
Paleo diet can lead to vitamin-D , calcium deficiencies as dairy products are not consumed leading to brittle bones. It can also cause high mercury and other toxins ingestion by cosuming more fish . As the paleo diet donot fill carbohydrate need by body it can cause weakness, headaches. Stone age people worked more physically as they were hunters but now we all have sedentary lifestyle so paleo diet may not be more helpful.
In people having lactose intolerance, gluten intolerance can go for paleo diet as no consumption of dairy products , wheat .
Mainly people who want to lose weight chose paleo diet now.
Eat like ancestors to be healthy were always said by paleo lovers but they donot work out like ancestors.
