The three basis laws that affect employee health, safety and privacy are : ( This is applicable in INDIA )

1.Laws for safety of an employee - OSHA Act :

As per this law, Employees have the right to be informed about the hazardous location near by the working place and have the right to be trained on, and receive information about dangerous and hazardous substance or place they are exposed to or likely to be exposed to.

EX: Painters have the right to get trained about the PPE to be used while painting and hazardous chemicals/paints that they are using.

2.Employee state insurance Act:

This act provides certain benefits to employees in case of sickness, Maternity and employment injury. This act tries to attain the goal of socio economic justice.

3.Fundamental rights to privacy :

This law is to protect the sensitive personal data of the employees like , medical records,financial records,biometric information etc and thus a employer have restrictions in sharing this data other than if its legally required.
