Health and safety are like both sides of a coin. In simple words it can be defined as various rules and regulations and procedures that has to be followed in the work places,public and other environment to prevent accidents and injuries.

Importance:

Health and safety in the work place is important,its one of the right of an employee to be safe. so the employers should provide safety guidelines and regulations when the employees join for a job. they should instruct the employees to minimize the risk during work,

Occupational Health and safety:

According to World Health Organization (1995) occupational health and safety cand be defined as "protection and promotion of health workers by eliminating occupational factors and hazardous condition to health and work", it also deals with the physical.mental and social well-being of the workers.

It covers the following components:

2. Monitoring the sanitation and hygenic facilities for the workers
