Describe the course of development of schizophrenia.
Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that can highly affect our normal life and can hamper our normal daily life. The development of Schizophrenia is highly associated with some complicated factors. According to the researches the development of Schizophrenia is influenced by two main factors one is the Genetic causes and another is Environmental causes. The main development of Schizophrenia can be started from the age 16 to 30.
Development of Schizophrenia
Genetic Factors
Researchers have found some significant evidence on the basis of their family studies. These researches have stated that the development of Schizophrenia is basically based on genetic. According to these researches, a normal person has 1% risk for becoming a schizophrenic person in other hand a person with a schizophrenic parents or grandparents has 10% risk for becoming a schizophrenic person.
So we can say that development of Schizophrenia is partially genetic.
Environmental Factors
Environment has major influence in the development of Schizophrenia. There are some environment factors which can lead to Schizophrenia. Such as Malnutrition, Pregnancy complication, Older age of parents. Economical issues are also related with environment. This kind of economical problem can create a stressful life situation and increase the risk factor of taking high amount of drugs. These kinds of issues are highly associated with the development of Schizophrenia. Because these drugs can get involved with the brain’s neurotransmitter like Serotonin or Dopamine which can lead to mental illness like Schizophrenia.
Biological causes
According to some researches, Brain’s structure of a Schizophrenic patient is different rather than a normal person. Studies have stated that the Hippocampus of a Schizophrenic patient is highly affected .The hippocampus size is small in the Schizophrenic patient’s brain. Not only that a brain’s neurotransmitter Dopamine is also the cause of Schizophrenia. The lower immunity
So we can say that biological difference and biological causes are highly associated with Development of Schizophrenia.
Psychological Cause
Traumatic experiences in childhood can be the cause of Schizophrenia. Not only that a long time mental stress likes Depression, Feeling of loneliness and insecurity can lead to the development of Schizophrenia.
