what means assembly Warehouse?
For better understanding first, you need to know the following
terms:
Manufacturing: It is the process of producing a final product from
the unprocessed or semi-processed material.
Assembly: It is the process of assembling, accumulation, putting
together, a final product from the finished parts or partially
assembled units.
Warehouse: A large building/storage house where raw materials and
manufactured goods are being stored prior to distribution for
sale.
So now it is clear that
Assembly Warehouse: It is a place/ building/ plant/ house
where finished parts of a final product are assembled and put
together from different units which are located remotely to each
other or from the single units.
Let's take an example of automobile manufacturing(Car); where the
engine is made in location A, wheels may produce in location B,
production of staring took place in location C, and seat covers in
location D. So all these part are assembled in one location for the
final production of Car which is called the assembly Warehouse.
