Describe how the concepts of leadership and management differ from each other. In what areas do they overlap? Explain how the goals of management and leadership may sometimes overlap. leadership is setting a new direction or vision for a group that follow i.e a leader is the spearhead for that new direction.

management controls or directs people or resources in a group according to principles or value that have been established.

There is not much difference between leadership and management. In most situations, the terms are used interchangeably but are not the same. A leader is anyone that holds interpersonal expertise to influence others to complete a goal. A manager is someone who is liable and responsible for accomplishing the goals of the organization. An effective leader may not best at management, and a manager may not be an effective leader. Managers tend to be problem solvers and use the scientific approach to arrive at substantive solutions to challenges that companies face day in and day out.On the other hand,Leaders are more open, communicative, and participative in their encouragement of applying new ideas to resolve a crisis. While management and leadership have a great deal in common, such as working with people or individual to accomplishing the goals of the organization, they do differ in their primary functions.Management's main function is to produce order and consistency through processes, such as planning, budgeting, organizing, staffing, and problem solving. While leadership's main function is to produce movement and constructive or adaptive change through processes, such as establishing direction through visioning, aligning people, motivating, and inspiring.

as a nurse leader, I will create change by influencing employees through effective communication lines, feedback, training, continued effort and attention, and through worker involvement.

We as nurses to provide care for other people, to help people, be a patient advocate, and lend a shoulder to cry on.

I will nurture a working culture that always aspires to offer healthcare services to those that need it most,to help and champion the plight of the sick.

i will also enhance my persuasion to initiate change by using the overlapping aspects of low nurse to patient ratios.

My methodology to embrace the low nurse-to-patient approach will be realized by collecting tangible information from nurses to determine what areas they like the most. This will then help me to apportion caregivers most patients or extended shifts in these areas.   After determining which areas nurses like the most, they would obviously be apportioned the least number of patients.

To ensure that the working atmosphere is appealing for healthcare givers, I will blend the programs after sometime; this will particularly help caregivers prevent burnout scenarios. This will also ensure that team are highly motivated and enjoy working because motivation enhances team output and quality of services.
