Demography is defined as the study of human population its size ,composition its structure in a geographical area. It is quantitative study of human polulation which also tells us about the deaths ,marriages, birth etc. for eg. studying china about its poulation size , composition sex ratio, youth percentage.

Demographic environment give us fair idea about the population nature in the sense company come to know about the information like sex ratio , child sex ratio, percentage of population with demographic divident, geographical division of population i.e how much of population is living in which part of the country and also the percentage composition of population in the region. Companies often divide this information to get the market research done they need data in order to market products. They get fair understanding about the relationship by doing the prior market research by demographic data so that they make infomed dicision before launching product. e.g Japan has around one third of population age sixty five and above the companies will try to market products like hearing aid, wheel chair, adult diapers etc. in japan frequently and try to competete with each other. So demography give fair idea to company about the population composition which can be handy in markting products according to need of the population.Europe is  having around eighteen percent of older population.Around the world if one comapre data in 1970 median age was around the 21.7 now in 2019 the median age across the world is above 30. Around the world if one can see countries who are developing like china and india has most of the population youth . In india only around 26.8 years i.e india has huge demographic divident where as japan , germany ,italy all have median age more then 40 years .In china only nine percent of populaton is old. one can see there is huge gap in the demographic divident i.e percrentage of youth population. some countries has vary low fertility rate japan ha 1.2 , south korea 1.1 the countries with low fertility rate will face problem in coming years as population grow older. countries like U.S Canada New Zealand population has also grown older but the condition is not grave as japan and south korea . African countries has relative younger population but of fertility rate of these countries decreases the continent will be in grave situation of population aging. Europe has around eighteen percent old population whereas number is around fifteen percent in North America. So one can see there is hige difference between the age population age structure some has more of youth population whereas some as more of young population.

2. Marketing companies today target the different geneartion population diffrently they use different market communication techniques to allure all these market segments like baby boomers this is poluation who grew after world war ll so company can understand these population is in old segmennt companies has to use different matketing communication technique to make them aware of their products as major part of the population may not seek online ads precence . Company has to seek old advertising technique to get these customers.

Generation xers are the people who borm in around 1980s they are the people who are the bridge between the mellenials and baby boomers these people if one observe are population of age around 40 they have childrens and are people who are genrally deision maker in the family so marketing company has to work harder to crack on deal because they majorly look upon quality they have excess to online market but pays interest in store shopping.so campanies has to make different marketing stretegy to lure these type of customers. e.g coca cola come up with dite coke also companies coming up with organic products will create market for them. these people keep quality over quantity so companies has to more concerned about quality. also these type of people pays attention to environment so environment friendly product has to be aswer for company to acquire them.

Millennials are the person who are young currently taking over the workforce these are the people born in 1990 so marketing companies has to make different stretegy to acquire these type of customer as young population heavily engrosed in online surfing. almost all people are in social media and uses online means to show they riview product before buying making informed decision. company are mostly dependent on online advertising to get these customers. e.g adidias incresed is markey share by doing digital marketing in  shoe segment. Now each company today has seperate digital marketing department which look after online advertising.

Geneartion zero is the population who are born in between 1990- 2000 this population is very young most of them either studying or in the start of there career. as the population is mostly dependent or has less disposable income marketing company has to come up products which suits there budget like chinese company come up with less budget phones with similar function in high featured phone  which suited there budget and lifestyle. clothing companies aften come up with good discounts like nike making offer heavy diacounts to lure this market segment they are making customer base by giving offer to youth so that they become loyal to them in future.

so marketing comapnies uses different marketing techniques to communicate effectively with target segment.
