If 28.45 grams of ammonia are utilized for its synthesis, how many grams of hydrogen are needed? 2NO(g)+5H2(g)------>2NH3(g)+2H2O(g)

Solutions

Expert Solution

Question is not clear. It is assumed that how many grams of hydrogen are needed for the synthesis of 28.45 grams of ammonia ?

Give reaction is

   2 NO(g)   +   5H2(g)    ------>   2NH3(g) + 2 H2O(g)

                       5 mol                   2 mol

                      5x 2g= 10g           2x 17g = 34 g

                           ?                         28.45 g

                ? = (28.45 g/ 34g) x 10g H2

                   = 8.37 g H2

Therefore, 8.37 grams of hydrogen are needed.
