These are the regulations or rules set by a country,organisation or department to become a Professional.There are certain rules to become a Lecturer as well as a Registere Nurse.Different countries have different Rules.To become professional Nurse one has to pass the degree or diploma and also they have to register in the particular nursing board.There are also some laws on medical field which has to be followed, like organ donation consent,blood transfusion consent,DNR(Do not Resuscitate),etc

Ethics

Ethics are certain principles which control the conduct of a nurse.This includes the way of appearance,dealing with patients,family members,etc. Certain laws we can connect with the ethics like according to the doctors prescription only we can give medications,taking consent from family members, consent for blood transfusion,etc  

These are only brief idea about laws and ethics.so in someway they are related but not similar.
