Based on Alan Blinder’s article, Offshoring, constant improvements in technology and global communications will result in more offshoring of US jobs in industries where a product or service can be produced and delivered electronically over long distances at a lower cost.
Does this mean that only low skilled and low wage jobs are at threat, while “high skilled” jobs requiring advanced training are less vulnerable to offshoring?

As the modern and current scenerio is considered, it's the time for artificial intelligence that is saving the time of work being done and is able to successfully eliminate manpower.
Due to various developments in technology this offshoring has become common. Well if seen its more in the case of lower line production or basically first line managers or also can be referred as labors. Their basic works are done by machines replacing them. So, this offshore is maximum in the case of individuals at lower level with low wages.
But if we see, it is not wrong to predict the in future sixg technologies would be coming that would be taking important decions for organizations and all major works as higher levels would be done by machine.
So, if such happens there is job threat to not only low wages labor but also one with high wages.
Its very clear to me that advancement in system is offshoring the job of low wages receivers. Also, with the increased innovations, in future the one with higher wages would also have to face this
Like we can take the example of managers in a company. It's very possible that artificial intelligence would such be developed that they can refer to data and accordingly can take decisions on what has to be done to improve one's position. Hence, this way a company would be removing those managers as their work is done by machines build with technologies.
But it is also right that, humans can never be omitted hundred percent. The one building these artificial intelligence are also humans. So, it is little impossible to remove humans totally from this system of job. But, to a great extent they can offshore.
So, it's an emerging threat for the people earning over there.
