Talking about the major power of the managers being legitimate or bureaucrat, reward power, coercive power, expert power and referent powers are the power majorly must have a manager should possess. As its quite obvious that most of these powers are being used by the managers to be able to promote growth and empowerment and accomplish goals of the organization by their fellow teammates. Legitimate power is nothing, but an authority given to the managers by their management peers to help streamlines the management. On the other hand, the rewards power is something which we all must be well aware about which includes approving rewards to the teammates on accomplishment of an individual or teams’ collective task. The coercive power can also be called a fear making (king of) a power which help to again align the associates to the right channel & work towards the right area’s to achieve their organizational goals being in line with organization vision, mission and code of conduct. The Expert power varies manager to manage and its completely depend on the managerial individual on how knowledgeable he/she is as this give and over and above advantage to the manage to be able to help the team mates in difficult times and gain their trust and respect. And at the end Referent power is something which is situation which includes a reference candidate working withing the times with a known well wisher as his/ her manager. This power is seeming much to be misused them being used towards organizational success.
