Can we identify universal virtues? If so, how? Give a length response.
Virtue is a moral dilemma and we need to follow virtue as we are bound to do so for the peaceful balance in the world. But ages after ages there are certain virtues what we can not violate and deny. Universal virtue suggests the morality followed by all types of people in respect of communities and states. It is the theory of the universal wellbeing and all are to follow them spontaneously. Universal values are related to our social learning.
Humanity is a universal value. Man must identify himself as human being following some ethical rules and order. Man is to follow some ethics that establish his human existence. He must be moral and he would follow the moral norms. Be must not do harm to others. Universal virtue is related to the observance of the universal laws of humanity. It differentiate man from other living organisms. According to Confucius, " The noble minded are clear about duty; little people are clear about profit".
Love is a universal virtue and without love there can never be any binding. Love is not only visible in the human world, it is also evident in the world of the animals. Man has love to other men. He has love to the society, to the activities, to family, to community and so no. He has love to his nation and surprising enough he has love to the animals and plants. Ages after ages we find such love exhibited through different activities.
Truth is one of the most important of the universal values. Without truth world can not exist. Truth can never be suppressed or dominated. Many attempts have been taken by the individuals to suppress truth. But truth has its own laws and its flow can never be terminated or changed.
Taoism believes that justice is a quality and everyone bears the sense of justice and injustice. It is generated spontaneously in the human beings. Without justice stable society never survives and without justice there is the world of anarchy.
