which chemicals that are green (not likely to harm the envionment) and two that are not green?
N-ethylsaccharin, O-ethylsaccharin, ethyl iodide, saccharin, N-sodium saccharin, O-sodium saccharin, NaOH, DMF
saccharin is an artificial sweetener with no food value, used to sweeten the products like drinks, candies, cookies etc.
N-sodium saccharin and O-sodium saccharin are the sodium salt of saccharin and both are resonating structures to each other. both are water soluble and has no effect on environment, used as artificial sweetener.
N-ethylsaccharin and O-ethylsaccharin are formed when sodium salt of saccharin i.e. N-sodium saccharin, O-sodium saccharin is treated with ethyl iodide. these are also saccharin derivatives.
NaOH i.e. sodium hydroxide is a caustic metallic base used for peeling of fruits, vegetables, chacolates etc.
above all have no effect on environment and they are green.
Vapour of ethyl iodide is harmful, cause skin irritation it cause breathing difficulties. its vapour makes environment polluted
DMF is known to be toxic and cause birth defects in women.
so ethyl iodide and DMF are not green and harm to the environment
