1. Using either a Bible, or a book called "Harmony of the Gospels," compare the accounts of the Baptism and Temptation of Jesus in Mark with that of Matthew and Luke. What are the similarities? What are the main differences?
2. Why do many people believe Mark is the first gospel written? Does the answer to question #1 support Mark as the first gospel?

The Gospel According to Mark is one of the forms of three synoptic and four canonical Gospels(Mark,John,Matthew,and Luke).
It described the ministry of Jesus. From the baptism of Jesus by apostle John to his death. It also contains burial and discovery of the tomb of Jesus, empty.
In this gospel, there is no narrative about birth and after resurrection appearance.
Unlike Matthew and Luke.
It was written for gentile people in the Greek language.

These events are mentioned very briefly by Mark and not recounted by John. Due to trying that many scholars conclude that Mark wrote these events first and expended version of Luke are Mathew and Luke.
According to many early Christians, it was written by John Mark, the companion of apostle Peter but according to modern scholars it was written by anonymous authors instead of John Mark.because it was written around AD 66 -70, during jews revolution.
