The brand needs to ensure that the sourcing for the brand is done ethically where the suppliers are well in the responsible behavior to remain competitive in the cost, quality, and performance along with ethical sourcing. This gives the end product of BMW the ability to be world-class and have supplies from the source that are harvested ethically from the sources.
The supplies to the business have to abide by the laws of the land and the international business norms to be a BMW supplier. This mitigates the risk to a great degree. The places that the business sources from, need to have good and clean international business repute so that no small national issues can stop the supply.
