If you had to choose between having a strong economy and a weak military or having a weak economy and a strong military, which would you choose and why? Explain.

Solutions

Expert Solution

I would choose a strong economy and a weak military.

Because if the economy is strong in terms of its resources, worf force and operational efficiency the economy can flourish . An economy doesnt need military to take care of its basic needs but it needs a governement , educational institutions, banks, health care institutions to take care of its survival. There is no point in having a well trained military force when one does not have an employment ot provide food for one's survival. Trade and exchange of goods, services, technical knowledge and effective utilisaiton of both natural and acquired(trained) resources are needed in which the military plays no part.

Although military is not needed, protection with a minimal police force is needed. The force should be seen more of as regulatory authority rather than a defending authoriy.

A strong economy, with just a little bit of diplomacy to maintain good relations with other countries, can do with a weak military.
