Customers or consumers are the base of an economy and similarly for a particular firm or for a business oriented individual. To implement our business strategies , we need to first set up the base of customers and then implement our strategy. However, all the strategies in the proper implementation of a business would be in vain, if we fail to attract the customers. Let us discuss below . on how we can attract customer.

The First step , we as a business oriented individual should investigate and find out is , who is the ideal customer four business , that we want to set up , and a question related to it is , what would the customer whom we have identified want from us to buy. We need to understand that not all customers would want similar type of products. Products may vary according to the desires of various customers. So we need to set up a product base that can attract the maximum number of those customers by falling in to their desire bracket. This step will need us to do a lot of research , like we need to go out to the local market and distinguish the different desires of the people, we may need to understand the mood of the market, and how it operates with or without the product that we want to produce. We may also need to seek guidance from people who have experience in this regard. We need to figure out if our product is for ladies or for men , for kids or is it for general use of everybody, whether the product we want to produce comes under luxurious category of products, and whether we even have such customers in the market who would prefer to buy if our product is of luxurious nature. We may also break down our research in the age bracket of our customers, as to the customers of what age would prefer our product and how can we induce them to start using our product. These are some of the ways we can firstly identify our customer.

In today’s digital world , any information or update we need can be squeezed out of the internet and by the use of it in various ways. We can use this digital platform to easily know , what the general public wants , and whether the product we are planning to bring in to the market would be a hit. We can make the use to the SMS system or the email system to take surveys from people as to how they feel about the product we are trying to produce for them , and what sort of product is most desirable by the majority of the consumers. This sort of surveys will also tell us if we have any shortcomings in our plan for the product, or if we need to make any changes in the product. This can further be more time saving and easier to decode way of knowing the changes that can be brought about in our product so that it can be a popular one after its launch in the market. Further, the digital platform can be used to market our product in a far more easier and convenient way. It can also reach out to the maximum number of people over the digital platform as compared to the marketing through other platforms.

It is an age of competition , where the fittest one only survives. Here, by fit , we mean , the investor who has more customer base. Another way we can attract more customers is giving them freebies. It is now well established and seen that all the companies start their product in the market by giving away something free with the product . What is does is, it essentially brings those customers in the bracket too , who would have otherwise not wanted to move away from their permanent product and choose the new product. Customers are clever and always prefer to have their profit in the first place. If the customers can get a better , or even a product of the same quality , but at a cheaper price , or with something else free along with it , it will induce them to buy the product. Once they have brought the product a few times ,and we have established a good customer base, we can then slowly change the business strategy , and remove the free items or the discount we have preliminarily applied our product. We can see a lot of companies which have gained tremendous success in the resent past, by spending a lot of money in the beginning in giving away freebies to the customers, but later on they have covered up the losses by increasing the price of the product in other ways. A major chunk of the Customers primarily look at the price factor. If it is cheap a customer is naturally induced to buy it .

In todays market, appearance pays. That is, the more attractive the shops or the business units are, the people start to follow the shop or the business unit , and finally decide to visit it one day. This is how the journey of a customer from looking at the brand store to buying the product begins. Therefore , it is of outmost importance to have good face for our business unit in the market. Customers are attracted to those units, which are more colorful and appear more stylish and have sense of premium quality . The customer initially has no idea as to what is the actual quality of the product sold inside those brand stores is. Customers are usually of the notion that if a product coverning is premium from the outside , it is good. It has become a natural tendency of the youth now a days, that a costly product is naturally better than a cheaper product. Thus, we can also take the advantage of this fact, however, we must take in to account the fact that , there must be customers who are intended to buy this product even at a higher price.

Advertisement of the business details is of outmost importance in the correct implementation of a successful business venture. It is as easy to understand that the more people know about our product, the more chance we have to get more customers attracted by out publicity of the product. Therefore the correct mode of advertisements is necessary. We should ensure that the advertisement is done at the correct place. For example , if we are trying to sell a baby product , then it should not appear along with an adult content . These are natural understanding of a product psychology. The customers want their product to be a famous product which has a brand value . Therefore a correct way of advertisement can gain us a number of customers.
