In your opinion, does the role of I/O psychologists change in the time of economic recession? What can they do differently?
Industrial- organizational psychologists are some one who engage in many areas of organization . Their work have a greater influence over the companies futur development. The works the do in an organization are recruiting employees, giving training regarding the work and also training the employees for their development, they design the suitable work place for the employee, continuously recording the companies and employees work development, etc
Economic recession is something like a drop in the economy of income, development etc., this can be caused due to many reasons such as rise in price of good necessary for the company, reduction in the level of confidence among customers, high increase in interest etc., When something like economic recession occurs in an company the work of I/O psychologists increases even before that the I/O psychologists will have an plan to face these kind of situations such as having a emergency savings money to spend during those times, having an additional work stream for the income, developing a risk management plan beforehand, during those times the company should reduce its expenses for that these psychologists will develop some plans etc., these are some of the the work the I/O psychologists do in an organization when they are facing an economic recession.
