A) Postural abnormalities and associated muscular and skeletal conditions:
Scoliosis :
Scoliosis is an abnormal posture due to the abnormal posture having a lateral curvature of spine. The spine have a lateral curvature.
Kyphosis:
Kyphosis is an abnormal posture due to the increase thoracic curve which produces a doom shaped spine.
Lordosis:
Lordosis is an abnormal posture due to an increased lumbar curvature which protrudes the abdomen.
Rounded shoulder:
Rounded shoulder is also an abnormal posture due to increased protraction of the shoulders.
Poked chin posture:
Poked chin posture is an abnormal posture due increased stretch of cervical extensor and cervical flexor weakness.
B) Advantages of therapeutic exercise:
Disadvantage of therapeutic exercise:
C) Postural stress is a stress that act on the body due to the abnormal posture and body resist the stress for longer duration leads to abnormal posture.
Types of stresses:
Occupational stress:
Abnormal posture in the occupation for a longer duration causes a occupational stress over the body.
Joint stress:
Increase use of a particular joint and loading of particular joint causes a stress over the joint.
Poor stability :
Poor stability and strength of the muscle cause a abnormal stress over the adjacent structures that results in postural stress.
