Discuss how you would network AIT-Sea View campus, taking into account the various sections of that campus (computer labs, health clinic, offices, security post, etc)

Solutions

Expert Solution

A campus can be networked with infrastructure used for enterprise networks. The communication access should be given to different services, end users, resources, devices, etc. It could be done using hierarchy and modularity. The most common design for such a campus is optimized for high speed functional goals.

Keeping in mind the security post, health clinic, and computer labs, etc. the overall model is broken into different layers with more manageable networks. Different levels will be focused on different roles. The design will have flexibility as well so that different hardware, features, and software applications can be included as and when required.

Core layer will have transportation facilities between different sites. This can be achieved using routing and a level of resilience. This will also help the network to recover from failure easily.

Distribution layer is added too. It offers a boundary and policy-based feature for the connections. The control between core layers can be achieved with a distribution layer.

An access layer helps in providing user access and workgroup access.

Explain how you would calculate the economic value created by the USPS, taking into account the positive externalities it produces. Here's a few comments: The USPS has had $45 billion or so in cumulative accounting losses over the past four decades or so (see its financials). Was what the USPS produced over the past four decades worth $45 billion to the taxpayers? Take a for-profit business like FedEx. We know the value of the company’s inputs; that’s easy, we can...

In this assessment you are required to design a wireless campus network for Faber University. This assessment is group assessment and you may work in groups of upto 4 students. To design the wireless campus network for the university you are required to conduct a requirement analysis, propose a design of the network considering the university requirements, carry out a security analysis and propose a WLAN monitoring tool for monitoring the network in the future. The network needs to be...

As you are considering the various functions of self, how might how we view ourselves impact how we view others? For example, in DQ1 we have been discussing biases and how easy it is to judge an individual by appearances. How do self-concept and self-perception influence our judgments of others? According to research conducted by Horton (2003), “The physical attractiveness stereotype (i.e., inferences regarding the sociability and integrity of the target) was contingent upon self-perception. Participants who rated themselves highly...
