IMPACT OF HEALTHCARE TECHNOLOGY ON PANDEMICS
Imagine your daily routine being entirely dependent on a smartphone
app. Leaving your home, taking the subway, going to work, entering
cafes, restaurants and shopping malls, where each move is dictated
by the color shown on your screen. Green: you're free to proceed.
Amber or Red: you're barred from entry.

1) What are the barriers to effectively deploy the use of
Healthcare Technology to successfully manage pandemics?
2) Identify how Healthcare Technology can be a driver for shaping the new normal necessary for successfully realising the “Vision 2030 Jamaica National Development plan”.
The concept is really from future and feels like fantasy in a glance. But, in the moden digital era where everything is happening beyond the thoughts humans, lets have a plan and detailed study on the implementation of such an application. The idea is to create a mobile application which shows which are are contamanited with virus and where are chances for getting infected. Today the world is in the caught of Covid'19 Corona virus. Every corner of the world is affected and a normal life is distracted everywhere. Entries are restricted, entertainment businesses are shut, no more gatherings and close contact with people, no big functions and ceremonies. Everything are restricted to a level which even cant imagined before by the people.Even though such restrictions are arranged, still the number of patients are increasing due to contamination from different regions. We may not know whether the room we entering is contaminated or not. We may accidently enter to a place and get contaminated. Also the disease symptoms are shown only after a week. This will kill the chances of knowing from where we got contaminated.To solve this prevailing situation a most advanced technology should be developed to understand whether the area we entering is contaminated or not. The idea explained here is to fulfil it. A mobile application which shows whether the are is contaminated or not. Making this into practical is not an easy task. We may have to think in fantasy level.One way is to invent a high spec sensor which can sense the presence of virus or with any radiation or other forms of rays. This sensor woking in companian with a mobile application form an IOT application and fulfil the need. The sensor as seperate device which can be used as scanner for virus presence in the air or surface and sending the information to a web database. This database can be accessed by a frontend mobile application and shows the green label if no presence and red label if virus present. This data is stored to database and shared all users mobile application. So everyone would be aware of this place is contaminated.This is really a fantasy idea but can be implemented with advanced engineering principles. Next idea is a similar web database connected to mobile application but the entries should be manually entered by the authorities after knowing the place is contaminated. This will be knowned by a positive case from the region or suspecting the place is contaminated.In both case, we have to ensure the ethics are going good. That is, the datas storing to database is relavent and genuine. No people or business should be targeted and inserted to database so that no one enter to that particular business are and results in a probem. This kind of personal and human things have to be considered. People can make bad impact on many area by restricting every one to entering by giving a flase information about the place.
The main barriers for implementing the system right now are technological limitations and the security concerns. We had discussed the technology wanted to implement this system and the chances for exploitaion by people. A solution for this barriers should be considered while devoloping such a system.
